You will be staying at the most romantic part of the island and the atmosphere at the Fanari Villas is out of this world. It is just a hundred yards or so away from the spot where, it is said, more marriage proposals take place than anywhere else on the planet.

I arrived early on my research trip to Oia. I walked all around the town to decide on the best place to eat. When I came to the Fanari Hotel’s restaurant Restaurant, I decided that this was it and booked my table for half an hour before sunset. The ambience as the sun dipped below the horizon was fantastic. I immensely enjoyed my meal of slow-cooked roast lamb with some Santos Aidani wine. I decided that for those who can afford it would also be a fantastic hotel from which to base a tour.
The next day we will have three winery visits (with tastings of course), lunch and a visit to the fascinating ancient site of Acrotiri frozen in time by a volcanic eruption around 1600 BC. On the second day, we will have fewer winery visits but include a cooking class where you can afterward eat the fruits of your labors.

3 nights hotel accommodation at the Fanari Villas Hotel, Welcome dinner at the Fanari restaurant on the arrival night and all meals on the following two days, all winery visits and tastings and other visits.
What’s not Included:
Flights or other transport to the tour start point and from the tour end point. Any discretionary tips. Any additional bottles of drink that you might wish to purchase for personal consumption later.
