DOURO VALLEY 2-day wine-tour from Monday 11th September 2017
Our Douro Valley 2-day wine-tour is ideal if you only have time for a short break. Though if you can spare more time, the optional extra day of opulent luxury at the Yeatman on Sunday the 10th September 2017 will remain a lasting memory.
For the 2-day wine tour, we meet up at the Yeatman in Vila Nova de Gaia for coffee at 10.30 am on Monday 11th September. A vehicle will be waiting for us to take us to Vinhos Norte in Vinho Verde country. There we will have a tour of the Vinhos Norte Winery at Fafe followed by a tasting of their wines, prior to lunch locally.
After lunch, we proceed to the Upper Douro, staying at Tua. The Next day will be spent with our good friend, winegrower-producer and poet extraordinaire, Victor Marques. We will have a tour of his extensive vineyards and then a wonderful barbecue overlooking his vines.
We return to Tua, by the River Douro in the evening.
What is included & what is not included?
Not included are flight arrangements & transport to our starting point or from our finishing point. Within the start and finish points, all transport, accommodation, meals, boat costs, winery visits & wine tastings are included.
Bookings:
Each tour is booked with a €200 non-refundable deposit per person to enable us to firmly secure the hotel accommodation. The balance will later be payable by bank transfer 60 days before the tour commences.
Cost for the 2-day wine tour is €500 per person based on two people sharing with a €100 single person supplement etc.
