Larnaca E-Bike Wine Adventure
Having been halted in our tracks by epidemiological measures and other governmental regulations, Wines and Tours is now finding its feet again in a way that combines a thirst for tasting good wine with a thirst for adventure.
Soon in July we shall be offering our first e-bike wine tour in Cyprus. We will be exploring not just local wine, but also another local product – honey. In the past we have found that combining wine with another theme of interest has blended well.
As temperatures in Cyprus can get jolly-hot in July, for comfort we are opting for an early start – so here is our planned programme:
At 7.00 am we meet at the Kafestiatorion Lagias for their popular “English Breakfast – Cyprus Style”. Directions for getting there are through this link: https://www.kafestiatorionlagias.com/how-to-find-us/
We set off on our e-bikes at 7.45 am to Christoudias Winery (between Valva and Kato Dris). Upon arrival, you will join a tour of their winery followed by a snack and tasting samples of their wines. Afterwards, there is a visit to the Wine & Beekeeping Museum in Kato Dris. Eli, the owner, has a collection of anecdotes from real local history that have fascinated previous tour participants.
During mid-morning, with a buzz in the air – we shall visit Ecophysics Beekeepers in Valva. After a video presentation and tasting of different honeys, we go to the beehive area and put-on protective clothing (reminiscent of space suits) and listen to a presentation from Costas, the beekeeper. We finish with a picnic in nature, by consuming entirely natural local products.
At about 13.30 we leave Ecophysics. On the way back to the meeting point – there’s time to relax by seeing the much-visited church of “Panagia tis Agapis” (Our Lady of Love) located in the wilds just outside Valva.
Our tour finishes at 14.30 at the original meeting point in Lageia.
What is included:
Guide, e-bike transport, all winery, and other visits, “English Breakfast-Cyprus Style”, snacks, honey, and wine tastings.
What is not included:
Not included are any insurance particular to you or transport to the starting or from the finishing points.
Bookings:
Each single-day wine tour in Cyprus is booked with a €150 non-refundable deposit per person to enable us to firmly secure e-bike hire transport, venue visit timings and your guide. The cost of this wine tour and later remaining balance will be payable by bank transfer.
Wine Tour Cost in Euros (€)
€170 per person for a group of six (6) adults only.
To book this tour with a €150 non-refundable deposit per person – choose your weekday by allowing us a minimum of 10 working days-notice) by clicking on the “Book Now” button (Below). A booking form will then appear in front of you. Please follow the instructions to complete the form.
Once we confirm the cost of your specified wine-tour day with us, your non-refundable deposit for €150 per person becomes payable. Upon receipt, we will confirm your wine tour guide & e-bike transport arrangements by email, along with details of our business bank account and sort-code for your payment by “bank transfer”, please.
The remaining balance per person (payable 5 days before your wine tour start date), will be invoiced by email, also for payment by bank transfer, please.
