During the two 2020/21 Coronavirus lockdowns in the UK, we thoroughly researched the wine producer network of vineyards in England and Wales to create a new wine tourism initiative, based on offering single-day E-Bike Wine Tours.
Our three English e-bike vineyard tour routes
during 2023 are being conducted on
Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, starting mid-April
and continuing weekly through to late September.
Please note: Each single-day e-bike tour date is aligned to a specific “Booking Closure Date”. To ensure that your booking is
placed on time – please refer to our 2023 programme
Our three e-bike vineyard tours destinations are –
Kent ME18, Kent TN26, and East Sussex TN31.
Cycle with us around the picturesque vineyards in East Sussex or Kent, on a full-day e-bike wine tour. Ride over hills with ease, while your expert guide shares their abundant knowledge about viticulture of the land, the grapes grown, and methodology of how English wine is produced. |
Visit two local family-run wineries to learn about traditional wine harvesting, their production methods, and to taste some of their excellent home-grown wine.
Enjoy a picnic lunch surrounded by vineyards and take in spectacular views of the scenic landscape.
Our small-group tour is designed for 6 people to ensure a quality experience.
What’s included –
- Hire of an e-bike
- Two vineyard visits
- Interesting and experienced guide
- Picnic lunch set in one of the vineyards
- Wine tasting
In the UK, as a greater proportion of vineyards are in the South-East of England, we decided to offer our first three E-Bike wine tours in Kent and East Sussex.
Here are a collection of
testimonials we have received:
For more testimonials please visit this page.
There are two routes in Kent and one in East Sussex. E-Bikes are hired locally, specifically for minimum groups of six adult participants plus our tour leader.
Meeting points are railway stations, easily accessible from London, normally starting at 10:00 and finishing at 17:00 hours, on weekdays only.
Participants will visit two wine producers interspersed by lunch and cover an average of up 20 miles in a 7-hour day.
Do have a look at the video below.
The routes in Kent are the ME18 on planned Wednesday dates (to visit Yotes Court and Mereworth Wines) and the TN26 on selected Thursdays to visit Gusbourne and Woodchurch Wine Estates (meeting at Wateringbury and Appledore railway stations respectively), and our East Sussex route TN31 introduces you to the Oxney Organic Estate and Charles Palmer Vineyards, starting and finishing at Rye railway station on specific Fridays.
Each of our three UK single-day e-bike wine tours includes your guide, e-bike transport with safety helmet and high-vis vest, small bottle of water, two visits to wine producers, lunch & wine tastings.
