Arrival Day –

Dinner from 7.30pm will have been booked for you at the hotel’s Bistro Bar. You can check in any time after 2pm.

Day 1 of Tour

Breakfast at the hotel

After breakfast your guide will take you to visit the Biodynamic vineyards of Atha Ruja, where you will taste their fine wines and have a little bit of wine-and-pairing with a platter of cheeses and cured meats.

According to your fancy, you can be taken for a walk in the countryside along the Canyon or up a beautiful mountain path or around the time.

Lunch at a local restaurant or the hotel’s bistro.

Afternoon. You will visit the large Dorgali Wine Co-operative and indulge in some more tasting. If it is open at the time for visits we’ll also arrange for you a visit to the nearby cheese factory.

A visit to some of the most extensive underground caves can be arranged, or time can be given for some more walking or you can be taken for a drive through the beautiful local scenery.

Dinner at the Hotel Bistro.

Day 2

Breakfast at the hotel followed by

Visit to a winery near Oliena with wine-tasting

Lunch – probably at the winery (we say probably, because this is not always convenient for them) or else at a local restaurant.

Afternoon Visit to second winery in the area (and wine-tasting)

Return to hotel

Dinner at Hotel’s Bistro restaurant.

Day 3

Breakfast at the Hotel followed by

Trip to Cala Gonone from where you will be taken on a boat trip to the nearby sea caves full of breath-taking stalactites and stalagmites. There will be a further boat stop at a beautiful sandy beach – so bring swim wear with you (well if you have chosen a summery season).

Lunch at beach restaurant or Cala Gonone or Nuoro

For those not staying on for the cookery class, we can arrange transfers to their chosen airport. People need to have checked out of their rooms after breakfast. For those staying on we plan –

In the afternoon, a visit to Nuoro, a town with many exhibitions and museums

Possible visit to wine village such as Gavoy.

Day 4

After breakfast you have a private cookery class at the hotel.

You will eat the fruit of your creation for lunch with some nice local Canonau wine.

Transfers to be arranged at your convenience but checkout from the rooms is at noon.

What is included and what is not included?

• Not included are flights /ferries or transfers to and from your hotel on check-in and check-out days
• Included:
• Dinner at your hotel on the evening of your arrival. (Check in from 2pm).
• 4 or nights accommodation (5 for those staying on for the cookery classes)
• All breakfasts
• All lunches
• All dinners, additional to the one on the day of your arrival
• All Winery visits and tastings
• Cost of guide
• All transport during the tour to the wineries and restaurants you will visit

• Bookings:
• Each tour is booked with a €200 non-refundable deposit per person to enable us to firmly secure the hotel accommodation. The balance will later be payable by bank transfer 60 days before the tour commences.

As this is your own private tour we can easily tailor it to a longer stay with both more winery visits and more sightseeing. Tell us what you would like, but do give us reasonable advance notice.
