Be your own Wine-maker at our Wine Weekend in Alentejo
This tour is aimed at couples or small groups who are holidaying in the area with their own transport and would love a fantastic wine weekend (Friday afternoon to Sunday morning) with the chance to blend their own wine under the guidance of an oenologist.

This tour is available all the year round so there are no pre-booked hotel rooms Apply well in advance to ensure availability. You will be spending two nights at the magnificent Hotel Pousada in Estremoz.
Estremoz is about two hour’s drive from Lisbon. We would advise you to arrive at the hotel in the early afternoon so that you have a chance to walk around the pretty town and learn a little of its history of constantly having to defend itself against Spain. In the evening a delightful dinner is booked for you at the Pousada. This is included in the price of the weekend. The Pousada has such an excellent and varied choice of wines on its list that we thought it best to let you choose your own wine.

In the morning a local guide will collect you and take you to a picturesque and bustling local market, before taking you to a winery visit at the João Portugal Ramos Winery. You’ll taste their wines, Then you will have lunch either at the winery’s restaurant or if there is no availability there at a nice restaurant in Estremoz.
In the afternoon, under the tutelage of an oenologist at the João Portugal Ramos Winery, you will have a chance to blend your own wine and take away a special bottle of your creation with your name on it.
You will probably only want a light supper in the evening after the gastronomy of the previous evening and the day’s lunch so we leave you free to choose this from the many restaurants in Estremoz.
What’s included:
Two nights stay at the Pousada Hotel in Estremoz on the Friday and Saturday nights, Gourmet Dinner at the Pousada on the Friday night, Local guide on the Saturday, Winery visit and tasting plus the “Be your own Winemaker” experience at the João Portugal Ramos Winery, Nice lunch on the Saturday.
What’s not included:
Not included is any flight or transport to the Pousada hotel in Estremoz or dinner on the Saturday which we leave free for you to sample one of the local restaurants.

€487 per person based on two people sharing (€537 in the peak summer months of July, August and September).
